Rapid emissions reduction for Aotearoa New Zealand
A thriving, resilient, climate positive Aotearoa New Zealand.
The New Zealand Climate Foundation exists to be a focused catalyst for greenhouse gas emissions reduction and unlock 100 million tonnes of material emissions reductions by 2035.
We identify where actions to reduce emissions are most achievable this decade and where progress is constrained. We then work to remove those constraints by supporting delivery, mobilising capital, and strengthening policy and market settings.
Our work is evidence-based and directed toward outcomes that materially change New Zealand’s emissions trajectory, particularly in areas where existing systems, incentives, or funding are holding progress back.
